#18: Monica Vinader

I still have some net-a-porter credit leftover so recently when they had free shipping to Australia I couldn't help but order some new jewellery. I'm the first to admit I don't need new costume-y jewellery but I've loved some of Monica Vinader's stuff on NAP and wanted to get my hot little hands on a piece.

First off, I love the packaging - the magnetised box is slimline and just perfect for a beautifully fine piece of jewellery.

I chose this silver bar/union jack inspired piece for a bit of colour and because I thought it would work nicely stacked with my dogeared karma bracelet. Actually that reminds me, I haven't even posted about that! I've been slack oops!

When worn its not as rounded as it looks in the pics - it actually sits flat on the wrist which is what I love. It is a little too big, but I have that problem generally with my wrist being so small.

#17: Louboutin + Milly!

This is a bit delayed, but a few weeks ago I finally got my hands on a pair of my holy grail Louboutins and I'm hugely excited!!

This was the only order I made during the net-a-porter.com half-yearly sale and of course the Louboutins weren't on sale but it didn't matter seeing as I've been waiting for a pair of black everyday pumps to come back in stock in my size!

And here they are... Pigalle 100s in black patent!
And you can see again this pair has the elasticised heel grip <3 Perfect for me! So I got these in my true to size because I went half a size down for the 120s and I've previously tried 85s and it was a perfect fit. Turns out 100s are a little squishy in the toe box (compared to even 120s) so these are slightly pinching but they didn't have any left in one size up so I had to settle for these. Plus I figured they would stretch after a while (which my decolletes have already started doing and will soon be too big for me!)

I did also order some swimwear which was heavily reduced. I ended up returning two items - a J Crew bikini top and Calvin Klein bottoms but they were hardly worth posting about. I did keep this bright fun Milly bikini - I absolutely love the colour and the style is very resort wear.

So its not exactly for swimming laps of the pool in, but I can just imagine wearing this on a beachside resort holiday! And Milly is usually quite expensive, so I thought 50GBP for the set was pretty good!

Anyway, because I like my photos, here's a few shots of my Pigalle collection :) 100s and 120s together for some Pigalle loving.

#16: Smythson + Louboutin

Though my year of the Ultimate Shoe Subscription ended earlier this year (*sob* so sad it's over!), I had returned quite a few things along the way that turned out to be completely not my style and so I've had some extra credit left over I've been trying to use.

I've tried to be really careful in the last few items I buy because I'm at the point where I have my 'must buy' items and now the items must be amazing for me to order them. Anyway, I made this order recently and am quite in love! <3

I've always loved Smythson, as you might remember me posting about them before, and so when I saw this beautiful card case on sale during their half-yearly sale I just had to order it. It's my one pop colour piece of Smythson :)

Aaaand you know I love Christian Louboutin and when I saw these Chiarana 100s they were a must buy also! These are just like the classic Helmuts (but a new reincarnation of it) and they're not even in store in Australia yet :)

You can only just see it but at the back of the heel there is a 'heel grip' elastic in built. This is definitely a new thing for Louboutin and is absolutely GENIUS! I love it! It's perfect for me because I often find shoes slip from the back of my foot as I have quite narrow skinny ankles so this keeps my foot firmly in place and means when they stretch I can still wear them!

Now I've actually returned these for a half size smaller - I also have skinny feet in general so while these fit me and are comfortable, I think I need the half size down to be a more snug fit seeing as it's got the open cut side.

I know my collection is growing a little too fast and I should branch out but I just love the classic sexy styles Louboutin churns out season after season and his designs fit my aesthetic and style perfectly.

#15: Karl for NAP

So I know it has been quite a while since the Karl range was released by net-a-porter.com but I've actually made two orders since then and thought I would share some of the photos.

Unfortunately I haven't actually been able to see the items or take photos myself as I had all the items sent home to Australia (and I'm here in the US!) but I still love the look of the items so I've decided to take the risk on them. And my lovely mum took some photos to help me decide :)
Do you like the box and my Philippe Starck Ghost Chair? <3

I also ordered the cameo brooch collar, tuxedo jacket and a black tank top. More photos of those to come if I can convince my mum to take better pics :)

To be honest, I was a little disappointed with the tote bag - I mean the fabric looks a little flimsy? But I use tote bags all the time so decided to keep it!

Did you snap up any cute Karl items?

#14: Sale haul!

This is so delayed but I've been busy with lots of exciting things here in the US! Anyway, the sale is already over on the NAP International site and only now am I posting some of the awesome things I bought. I actually ended up returning some of the items because they weren't quite I wanted which meant I saved myself some $$$ for my Karl haul :) More on that later!

#1: Jimmy Choo thigh high boots
So I was so disappointed by the leather of these :( They were uber cheap (I think like 300 something pounds from 800?) but the leather wasn't soft and wearable like I expect and usually see from Choo so I ended up returning these. But never fear, I have since bought some pretty funky thigh highs here in the US!

And so then the other 3 items I bought were cutely wrapped all individually - look!

#2: Eugenia Kim earmuffs
Oh em gee! These are soooo cute and amazingly practical because they fold inwards. Since arriving here in the US I realise that's only something you can get in the more expensive ones and though these weren't cheap, they were definitely worth the money for fashion, fun and warmth! My friend in NYC actually emailed me about these saying she thought I would love them and she must be a mind reader because I had already bought these!

#3: Marc by Marc Jacobs belt
This was a little bit of a last minute add on to my shopping basket - I've been needing a new waist belt and this seemed easy and a cute summer colour. Adjustable too!

#4: J Crew dress
So this didn't turn out to be the fabric I imagined so I ended up returning it but this was only 30 or 40 pounds I believe! Sorry for the terrible crumpled pic, but that's how it arrived and I promptly wrapped it up again to return it.

And finally....

#5: Burberry rain boots - pair #2!
So I already have a black pair but these were sooo cheap (50 pounds!) and a girl can't have too many pairs of rain boots right?

What do you think of these - all practical buys?

#13: Louboutin Corneille 100s

My year-long reign of the 'Shoe Subscription' competition winner is almost up and I'm sure the new winner is soon to be announced. I am so excited for them! And with that, I have been frantically trying to think of the other must-have items I need to add to my wardrobe. I absolutely adore my classic black Louboutins but seeing as the ones I wanted weren't available I just snapped up these when they came up.

And thank god I did because they sold out pretty quickly!

The 100 height has and always been my favourite but this heel is much finer than others, which makes it more of a special occasion black pump methinks.

But I love the asymmetric toebox that gives some awesome toe cleavage. Again this is my sister modelling.

Mmm nothing like a sexy red sole!

#12: Lots of goodies at 30% off!

I know it's been literally weeks since the net-a-porter.com 30% off sale I posted about - sorry I've been a little slow with posting about my goodies! As I posted about last week, I purchased the Burberry Trench coat and McQueen skull scarf with the discount but decided I couldn't help myself and purchased....

Burberry cropped wool coat
I know I've ordered so much Burberry but their coats are so lush and practical. It's so easy for me to keep on buying black coats because it's just so...easy, but this was a good compromise as its a beautiful charcoal which adds a bit of contrast to a wintery outfit.

If you happen to love this coat, it's actually now further discounted at 40% off as part of the International Sale! Get in quick peeps :)

Marc by Marc Jacobs Laptop case
This is so cute in the quilted purple - you can just tell it would hold a laptop really firmly. I didn't really need it but its cute, right?

I think it would be a good book bag too! And I love the attention to detail with all the cute MJ hardware in purple.

Sass & Bide Silk Dress
So I couldn't take a good photo of this dress so for now I will just have to show you the online picture. It's quite a simple dress but very dramatic, with a long asymmetric sleeve and the bold purple silk.

I ended up wearing to a Christmas Party earlier this month so I'll post separately about that outfit and you can see a proper picture of it worn :) It can be a little tricky to wear but once you get the hang of it I think it looks pretty awesome!

Again, if you like this one, it is on sale at the moment here for 50% off!

#11: Burberry Trench + McQueen Skull Scarf

I have been extremely slack in not posting about my NAP purchases as soon as I bought them, but there was a few weeks when I was receiving 3 orders in one week and just couldn't keep up with photographing and blogging about it!

But never fear, a by-product of being on holidays is that I am now free to blog more! :)

Anyway, onto the goods - when the 30% off sale was on I jumped at the chance to order a Burberry trench. The only one they had available was the longer one (which isn't quite what I wanted, I wanted the cropped length), but this is such a classic and I got it at such a bargain of 300-ish pounds!

It falls just below the knee, which isn't really that long at least. And I quite like it with the sleeves pushed up. You can't really go wrong with a classic trench, can you? The pic below gives a better idea of the length.

When I was purchasing, it just so happened there wasn't much that tickled my fancy at the time so I tried to choose items which were classics and thus great value at 30% off. I feel like this second item (like the trench!) is another 'classic' which was an absolute steal at...160 pounds I think?

This is the cashmere square black on white colourway Alexander McQueen Skull Scarf

Plus every wardrobe needs more McQueen! This is a terrible pic below, but this shows how big it is - my sister is holding it straight up above her head and it falls just below her knees.

And a picture of it worn:

#10: Miu Miu Metalasse (Blush) + YSL Arty

The tenth item I bought with my Shoe Subscription money was another of the Miu Miu Metalasse clutches, but this time in the uber versatile blush colour.

On the website it looked a much more...'pink' colour, but I actually love this more. It's a subtle muted kind of blush which will match perfectly with my nude Louboutin Simples.

Here's Princess Marie of Denmark elegantly wearing hers. I think hers might be more of a grey, but I thought it was interesting that she wore hers with an otherwise completely dark outfit (including black shoes).

I actually also ordered two YSL Arty Ovale rings but ended up only keeping one. When they arrived, I was really disappointed in the green colourway - I thought it wouldn't be as flat and one dimensional. Beautiful colour, but not as brilliant as I had hoped.

Did I make the right decision to return the green colourway? Well if you remember in my last post, I've already worn the brown anyway and I <3 it!

#9: Miu Miu Metalasse (Black)

I have been naughty and accumulating a whole lot of NAP orders which I haven't had a chance to post about! Of course there are all the items I bought at 30% off, but here's one I had been dying to buy just waiting until I decided if I really needed another it.

What is it? Miu Miu Metalasse black clutch of course!!!

So I had never seen one in real life, but then I was lucky when I was walking past the Melbourne store that they had one in stock! The beautiful leather and roominess was enough to sell it to me.

Isn't it beautiful! I can't wait to use it (I have an outfit planned for next week so hopefully it works!) and I just know it will be able to fit the all important essentials to me: phone, money, camera, Dior gloss.

I'm not usually a gold hardware person but black and gold just looks so classic.

In the same order I actually ordered these McQ half-gloves too which I thought would look amazing on.

They looked so good on the model however I don't think I have the right sized hands because even the smallest size looked a little 'off'. So off they went back to NAP (I love how easy it is to send stuff back) and my hunt for fashion gloves continues. I'm actually a little bummed that I didn't get an amazing studded Burberry pair on sale at the beginning of the year.

Does anyone have any suggestions for cute fashion gloves?
