Christmas Wishlist

I'm still on the lookout for a perfect everyday black handbag and so that is top of my Christmas Wishlist at the moment.

I know what I really want is a Chanel Diamond Stitch Tote, but they're hard to find nowadays. It's the perfect tote size that still fits all the everyday essentials I have (water, notebook).

A few months back I posted about the Miu Miu bag that I liked but I since decided to keep on finding something even more perfect (i.e. with a zip top). For the price of the Miu Miu, I knew I could spend just a little more to get a similar Chanel but alas they have nothing at the moment. So disappointing, right?

There is this Miu Miu Nappa Cloquet Bauletto which is part of the new Cruise collection - it's a new Cloquet collection leather which is really lightweight. I just like the shape and size, but it doesn't look as good in the picture as it does in real life. It's still not perfect, but getting there.
Any other ideas peeps?

#10: Miu Miu Metalasse (Blush) + YSL Arty

The tenth item I bought with my Shoe Subscription money was another of the Miu Miu Metalasse clutches, but this time in the uber versatile blush colour.

On the website it looked a much more...'pink' colour, but I actually love this more. It's a subtle muted kind of blush which will match perfectly with my nude Louboutin Simples.

Here's Princess Marie of Denmark elegantly wearing hers. I think hers might be more of a grey, but I thought it was interesting that she wore hers with an otherwise completely dark outfit (including black shoes).

I actually also ordered two YSL Arty Ovale rings but ended up only keeping one. When they arrived, I was really disappointed in the green colourway - I thought it wouldn't be as flat and one dimensional. Beautiful colour, but not as brilliant as I had hoped.

Did I make the right decision to return the green colourway? Well if you remember in my last post, I've already worn the brown anyway and I <3 it!

WIW: Christmas Party (I)

I had one of my work christmas parties this week and it was a swish Cocktail Party affair. I'm annoyed at myself for not taking a full shot of my outfit but I wore some of my new items!!!

Miu Miu Metalasse and YSL Arty Ring (with vampy red nails of course)!

And I was just dying to wear my new patent Bally peeptoes <3 which I posted about a few weeks back. I decided to wear them with the ankle straps for a more refined look, but by the end of the night my feet needed some movement so I took the straps off. They were so unbelievably comfortably despite their height! Even so, after a few hours on the d-floor, the arches of my feet were needing a rest.

I wore this old Sass & Bide dress - it's at least 4 years old now but it still is so elegant and glam. I got so many compliments from randoms I didn't know saying they saw my dress and loved it! :) It has an old school glamour feel to it, don't you think? Sorry for the crap photo!

I have another Christmas Party this week - there is a vague theme but I'm going to go for Cocktail dress code again. What are you going to be wearing this silly season?

#9: Miu Miu Metalasse (Black)

I have been naughty and accumulating a whole lot of NAP orders which I haven't had a chance to post about! Of course there are all the items I bought at 30% off, but here's one I had been dying to buy just waiting until I decided if I really needed another it.

What is it? Miu Miu Metalasse black clutch of course!!!

So I had never seen one in real life, but then I was lucky when I was walking past the Melbourne store that they had one in stock! The beautiful leather and roominess was enough to sell it to me.

Isn't it beautiful! I can't wait to use it (I have an outfit planned for next week so hopefully it works!) and I just know it will be able to fit the all important essentials to me: phone, money, camera, Dior gloss.

I'm not usually a gold hardware person but black and gold just looks so classic.

In the same order I actually ordered these McQ half-gloves too which I thought would look amazing on.

They looked so good on the model however I don't think I have the right sized hands because even the smallest size looked a little 'off'. So off they went back to NAP (I love how easy it is to send stuff back) and my hunt for fashion gloves continues. I'm actually a little bummed that I didn't get an amazing studded Burberry pair on sale at the beginning of the year.

Does anyone have any suggestions for cute fashion gloves?

Miu Miu: The Perfect Bag

I've been a bit 'over' life and work at the moment so I decided to treat myself to a break at work and took a quick window shop at Westfield Sydney. Turns out 'quick' wasn't really the best way to describe it as I spent a good 20 minutes walking around the Miu Miu store looking at all things new and beautiful.

Recently I've been on a huge hunt for a new, perfect bag. I wanted something over the shoulder, big enough to fit in a decent amount of stuff (notebook, water bottle, cardigan, pair of flats) while also being transferrable from day to night. I also preferred it to have a zip enclosure but I've since been trying to be less strict about this requirement because I could not find anything. So this has changed to 'as long as it is secure'.

I also wanted a designer which was a bit different and a designer I hadn't previously bought much from. See I'm one of those people who finds something I love and will stick to it. Like I'll find a designer I absolutely adore and wear it to death.

You would not believe it, but I found the perfect bag at Miu Miu.

Behold, the beautiful Matelasse chain flap bag (of course I want it in black, because my practical brain won't let me do otherwise). It's perhaps not the most beautiful or stunning bag, but it ticks all the boxes and the chain strap is so so versatile. It can be worn long or short, and there is still the elegant coffer hardware at the front plus a spacious main compartment.

Look how big it is! This colour has the imperial purpleish lining, but in matte black calf nappa leather the interior is a stunning eye-popping red <3. Unbelievably beautiful.

Now the clincher? Net-a-porter.com won't be stocking it. Why is it that I choose the most obscure of items that sell out so quickly and are hard to find?

Any other recommendations for a bag which ticks my criteria?
