Wishlist: McQueen Bracelet Scarf!

Did you go to Vogue's Fashion Night Out? Shamefully, I didn't, but I've been crazy busy with work that I haven't had a chance to do much lately.

Never fear, I caught up on it by reading blogs, looking at photos and keeping up to date with all the shopping offers on facebook and other social media! I'm sure those who went had a great time, right?

Anyway, I couldn't help but post about this new item I was emailed about which is totally going on my wishlist.

The Alexander McQueen Bracelet Scarf was released for VFNO in New York and it is fabulous. Exclusive only to McQueen's boutiques and online stores, the colourways are brilliant and just scream McQueen and I love a great colourful bracelet.

Aren't they amazing? You can get your hands on one for $295 at their online store (and if you're from Oz, with the help of parcel forwarders).

#11: Burberry Trench + McQueen Skull Scarf

I have been extremely slack in not posting about my NAP purchases as soon as I bought them, but there was a few weeks when I was receiving 3 orders in one week and just couldn't keep up with photographing and blogging about it!

But never fear, a by-product of being on holidays is that I am now free to blog more! :)

Anyway, onto the goods - when the 30% off sale was on I jumped at the chance to order a Burberry trench. The only one they had available was the longer one (which isn't quite what I wanted, I wanted the cropped length), but this is such a classic and I got it at such a bargain of 300-ish pounds!

It falls just below the knee, which isn't really that long at least. And I quite like it with the sleeves pushed up. You can't really go wrong with a classic trench, can you? The pic below gives a better idea of the length.

When I was purchasing, it just so happened there wasn't much that tickled my fancy at the time so I tried to choose items which were classics and thus great value at 30% off. I feel like this second item (like the trench!) is another 'classic' which was an absolute steal at...160 pounds I think?

#8: Alexander McQueen De Manta

I've been a bit naughty lately and made a lot of NAP purchases...something about retail therapy, right? Anyway, I've been eyeing off Alexander McQueen's De Manta bag collection for some time. I saw the clutches and bags when I was in New York and loved them, but was always a little wary of how big they are. I'm quite short and petite so looking like I'm carrying the kitchen sink in a handbag is always a concern.

Anyway I bit the bullet and couldn't help myself when I saw the beautiful burgundy version pop up on NAP, I mean a girl always needs an overnight, oversized bag!

I'm going to try and take some better photos when I first use it, so apologies for dodgy photos for now. Actually I was in Melbourne when the box arrived so my sister and mum were prized with the task of opening it first!

Outfit wise, I'm still a little worried it's a bit too big, but I'm thinking it will be a really practical bag to use when I'm heading to dance class and need to bring all my clothes and shoes. It's a luscious colour and the leather is just buttery soft without being too limp and impractical.

Do you think a bag is ever 'too' big for someone?

Alexander McQueen Wedding Shoes

Everyone seems to be going crazy about the Royal Wedding exhbition hitting the streets of London so of course I've been looking at the new photos circulating the internet.

We can finally see shots of those beautiful Alexander McQueen wedding shoes and I have to say...while pretty, they aren't as amazing as I first thought. In some other photos I'd seen which weren't as close up I thought they were beaded (with tiny pearls and other amazing embellishments fit for a Princess).

I suppose they were fitting for the occasion - not too over the top but still elegant - but I almost prefer something with a bit more colour so that they can be worn again for other occasions, like the pair below (another McQueen, of course).

On the topic of Alexander McQueen - I've been eye-ing this pair of boots that I first saw when I was in NYC. They are so simple, but are beautifully lush and practical at the same time!

And because I love a beautifully made cake or dessert, I'll leave you a picture of the Royal Wedding cake. Is it not the most intricate amazing cake you've ever seen? I personally would never want something so ornate at my own wedding, but it truly is a piece to admire.
